2015
Wayland High School seniors Brad Varnum and Declan Nolan are the recipients of the 2015 WayCAM scholarships. Both students were recognized for their involvement with WayCAM TV throughout their high school years. Varnum will study computer engineering at the University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth, where he plans to start a film club. Nolan will major in sociology and minor in film at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts – North Adams.
2014
WayCAM, Wayland's Public Access Cable TV station presented its 2014 Annual Scholarship Award this June, to Wayland High School Senior Jack Case, shown here with WayCAM Board Chair Ken Isaacson. Jack received his award for outstanding service in TV production. Jack will be attending Rochester Institute of Technology and will major in computer engineering. Since 2007 WayCAM has awarded twelve college scholarships to qualifying graduating seniors. The scholarships are partially funded by annual dues of WayCAM members.
2013
WayCAM, Wayland's Public Access Cable TV station presented its 2013 Annual Scholarship Award this June, to Wayland High School Seniors Jacob Sussman and Jonathan von Mering, shown here, flanked on the left by WayCAM Board member Renee Bryant, WayCAM’s Executive Director Jim Mullane (center), and WayCAM Board Chair Ken Isaacson. Jacob and Jonathan received their awards for outstanding service in TV production. Jacob will be attending Wesleyan University in Connecticut and will major in film studies. Jonathan will be attending USC in Los Angeles where he will study dramatic arts. Since 2007 WayCAM has awarded eleven college scholarships to qualifying graduating seniors. The scholarships are partially funded by annual dues of WayCAM members.
